Headed out to meet Huihan at 10am and took the train there. It's a pretty small town and there's basically just one main road to all the "attractions." Possibly one of the smallest town hall I've ever seen and the square was also empty cos Christmas market only happen on the 4 Sundays before Xmas. Came here not expecting much and the main attraction is just the old church ruins, and damn it was nice!
Walked down the streets and came across some pretty awesome shops before we sat down for lunch at this place that serves pretty delicious Swedish food:
This mess is damn nice. Still haven't figured whether issit deer/reindeer or beef steak but it's awesome
Walked around and found a nice shop in which Huihan said, "my boyfriend would have said, 'you wanna go in right?'" And then I saw porcelain plates inside and I realize I would have said the same thing if Ms Blur was there!
Finished the street and chilled at a cafe with pretty desserts:
Raspberry moose cake with caramel and brownie base (plus white choc sides); cheesecake and caramel cream with oatmeal bits; and a really thick (and sweet) white chocolate drink
And it was the lakeside next!
A LOT of nice photo from this lakeside but this is one of my favourite cos... You don't see benches like these by the water, do you?
And it was almost time for us to go back. Headed to the Central Tea House of Stockholm in Slussen (but didn't buy the tea in the end, shall buy in Jan to prolong its shelf life) then went Gamla Stan to get postcards. And after that is just dragging time while the others prepares...
So I guess surprise was pretty successful; food was good (courtesy of Master Chef Song) and the night was filled with "wholesome activities" (courtesy of Denise!)
And yep, happy 21st, Ms Spoilt Princess!
Songen and I got drenched in the rain after missing the bus back and running for yet another bus that we missed, please appreciate our sacrifice thanks.
