Bumpy boat ride

Was telling Ms Blur about some stuff that was making me feel low, then I went on to clarify that it's actually more like a bump than a down time in life cos it wasn't anything major. 

Ms Blur then said it's like taking a bumpy speed boat through the sea (which was something she found thrilling on our previous island trip). I thought it was rather apt: it's these minor bumps in life that makes it worth living; a thrill in a life of mundane. 

These are also kinda like speed bumps I guess, giving you a life-size reality check. Slow down and get back down to earth, will ya? 

Lose some, gain some

Dementia found ahma few years back and it got really worse these two years. Ever since she moved in with us one-and-a-half years back, she couldn't speak nor recognise many of us anymore. 

Few days back I went in to greet her like I normally do and just casually asked why she haven't sleep and she just shook her head. Today I asked her "ho bo?" She nodded. Nini lamented that ahma shook her head when she asked the same question earlier; I guess it really depends on who asked it huh! Haha 

Small things in life that keeps me going nowadays. Even though I'm not even sure if she recognises me anymore...

Spring cleaning

Ok part two. Shall dump all post-Indo trip photos here. As usual, pics-or-it-didn't-happen haha so some events will be forgotten inevitably. 

 

First thing to happen after coming back from Indo: Active Day with the branch peeps! Saber tag is not as fun as I thought it would be but still went rather crazy! 

 Then it was OBS time in Pulau Ubin for HDB orientation and we had to choose our core values from a pool cards, I chose these. And reviewing it, I think it pretty much still stands hahaha 

 

November photos are all work-related I realise. AAS training session for my SA residents at Brooks on a Saturday 

 

And then the Town Square AT went on site, followed by a workshop for future planning of its utilisation. 

Was having a food poisoning episode prior to this and had to get a day of MC and cleared a day of timeoff on Friday before getting stuck to bed over the weekend for the virus to go 

 

Now back to non-work related stuff haha. Met up with this bunch after more than half a decade! Still missing Mr SMU Business Valedictorian Matthew. Things really took many turns among us when the unexpected ones became studious as we grow. Doesn't matter, cos everyone's doing rather well in life! Meet up soon, BoBz bros haha 

 

Then it was time for last night in Jiak Kim! 

 

And a random meet up with this gang for a drink cos Gabriel is finally free on a weeknight (doing reservist without us then cos deferment)

And this is my pretty/handsome and lovely colleagues. Been here for 6 and will be gone in another 5 months, this will definitely be the most valuable takeaways I'm sure. 

This was PGB's 4th anniversary dinner at 21 on Rajah in Zhongshan Park and this is the gang of committee members for organising the event. Me? Just got arrowed in to emcee for the night cos, you know, voice loud haha 

 

Met this gang the same weekend and tried to go for Playnation then realise playing games on our own is better than going to a place with lots of games. OC members indeed 

 

Anyway, some of us figured we need alcohol so here we are haha 

 

Second round at Robertson quay with Chris and Bird (Dink pangseh) then Elisha joined later. And then I got a free ride back in Bird-Jie's convertible. Drizzling but YOLO! Haha (not my car mah lol) 

 

And then four season happened. And this was me after surviving the battle against the virus (second time in the month and much more serious this time round) 

 

Did up my hair all cos this girl is back! 

 

Back to me from her Saudi boyfriend aka Mr Camel

 

Then it's ahma's birthday celebration! Was feeling kinda sad when she nodded her head to say she wants to eat the cake, but was unable to take in anything orally. I teared. Still, happy birthday ahma! 

 

Sis was out in Laos the whole weekend and this mummy's boy really missed her mummy haha. 'Mumy' was spelt wrong though haha 

 

And then it's Tang Yuan day on 冬至, Winter Solstice 

 

Christmas Eve's eve countdown with steamboat at Bird's 

 

And then Xmas celebration at Grace's! 

Shall skip the staycay with Ms Blur and post on another post cos it's a photo spammage haha
