Best birthday presence

Slightly late but this was the best birthday ever spent with you (can't remember vividly the past birthdays before you really hahah). Partly cos there was the impromptu part (on the actual day), then the surprised part (surprisingly delicious and nicely-decorated but expectedly thoughtful), then the planned part (retail theraphy!). NAISE 

We busy like that but we impromptu like that, too! 

 

 

We forgot how punishing the sun in Singapore was but it was worth it to burn off the calories of the good meal!

Newfound respect

Witnessed this car going ablazed in the middle of the road just behind my office. But wow, the firefighters standing firm on their ground even when there were minor explosions just blew my mind. I was hiding 20m away behind the glass windows and a row of human and even I did stepped back a little when the tyres exploded. 

Read about the London fire from the perspective of a fireman earlier today and tears really welled up. It's so so tough, mentally and emotionally. I've been through my fair share of mental strength training during my time as a commando (not much actually) but having such constant and real threat to ones life is just on another level.
