This cool form teacher of mine once told our class that "if you think you can study better at home, text me to say that you'll be home studying;" and that's how I got my 6 Distinctions with 50% attendance.
He treated us 17 year-olds as adults before we even started treating ourselves as one.
To all my friends in the teaching industry, Happy Teacher’s Day; and please remember that our education system is not a one-size-fits-all, every student has his/her own needs and learning preferences, go out of "syllabus" if you must!
