Bangkok 27/5/16 - 28/5/16

Arrived at this frequently visited city mainly for transit, but with one evening here on a Friday night, the night markets are not to be missed.

But first, checked in at Buff Hostel, which is kinda hipster as well, and is one stop away from Chatuchak

Rustic rustic!

Brandon was on his way to recovery but things turned south once again after we arrive at our hostel. So Jingyi and I headed out for dinner at the roadside (amazing mix pork kway teow thingy where we almost ate all possible parts of the pig) and then returned to pick him up for the night market.

The statement "all possible parts of the pig" will be seriously challenged later on at our last stop but this is still pretty good!

Also got our oyster omelet Craig satisfied here. Street food rarely goes wrong in this country (or actually, region)

Alas, he was still too weak for it; so Jingyi and I left him in the accommodation to rest (again) while we headed for Chatuchak night market. Never been here in the night but it's pretty much still the same atmosphere, less the heat and probably 70% of the stalls haha - yea, only one full row of shops were opened.

Chatuchak was really not worth mentioning so here's a small part of the next place: JJ Green

We then moved on to JJ Green night market which has way more crowd and shops than the famous Chatuchak (famous not for Friday nights though). So after some shopping, we decided to change our plan and stay on a little bit longer at one of the pubs.

Voila, less people but definitely better atmosphere!

And so we ordered a tower of Chang... And then another jug. By the time we're done, I'm ready to sleep. But nope, we saw my favourite pig throttle stall along the road while we were on our way back to the hostel! So we Dabao-ed some back, and had another hearty meal before we end the night in a dreamy state.

Not to be missed even with 3 liters of beer in your tummy. Super shiok this one!

Next morning was just breakfast, pack up, and off we go to transit for Myanmar!
