Landed and got off to good start: breakfast at the local 7/11 and collected our car! But we got lost in the labyrinth that is Bangkok’s network or expressway, with their U-Turn bridges in the middle lane out of numerous lanes. Arrived at our Santorini-inspired accom which was nice after surviving the three hours drive.
Inu Café was a flop cos there wasn’t any area to dine without the dogs and Sam cannot haha
So we found some restaurant nearby for pork noodles instead and they were good!
Inspired yet?
Didn’t forget my swim and yoga routine even when I’m holidaying. Teachers will be proud
Evening sunset was great
Then it’s time for night market! Parallel park on point
Seafood was sumptuous and only costs $66 in total!
Early morning hike, got scammed, supposed to be 1 hour for the first part and 45min for the second, we reached the place in 40 minutes total. Saw the temple and decided to wait for the optimal time (10am) but the sun weren’t shining on the shrine and so we waited. And waited.
And it never happen! Here a photo with ABSolutely no link to what happened
Then more nua and skipped another attraction and finally, massage! Shiok! And dinner at Cicada market was great too!
Second day is amusement park day! Mostly water rides - scream dropper was exciting, but tornado and king cobra were the most fun cos everyone got to play tgt. Also managed to not fall down on the surf for the first time.
Nua around and headed over to the boring Venezia before giving up and going to some vintage market impromptu. And finally, massage again!
And dinner, which was 500 Baht worth of mash potatoes (inside joke - cos I can’t eat seafood and it was a whole table of it). Jack box and more movie and it’s time for our final lights out in Huahin.
Checked out, breakfast at Bread Love, and it’s another three hour long drive back to Bangkok. A wrong turn changed our initial plan to return the car before going into the city - we ended up in the city and thought, might as well. So lunch at Coca, dessert at After You, some shopping and off we go to fight the jam. Got to the airport ahead of our planned schedule but we ended up rushing for the plane somehow haha. And in the haste, we ended our short getaway. Much needed, but also more needed...
