Pretoria 9/6/17 - 11/6/17

Day 16

Drove for a good three hours to our lunch break at Haenertsburg's Red Plate restaurant.

等人吗?

Something about the trees, the weather, the people

A nice little 'European' town that gives a very NZ-feel. Then another 3 hours and we reached our BnB!

Snapping while driving cos the girl napping. All day err day

Pretoria is much more developed than we expected and it, too, has a nice European feel. Deposited our luggage at the cottage then we headed out for shopping! Got 700 Rand worth of food (read: snack) to bring back for friends and family. Then Blue Crane restaurant for dinner. Nice ambience right beside the crane pond and we spotted new animal again.

Cranes. Haha. Just casually strolling by~

Day 17

Hazel Food Market for brekkie!

Not as big a scale but there were a few markets all combined together here

Too much choices

Union building was nice and had friendly security but no entry

Church Square is a little like Europe but the parking attendant was too cheeky, opening my back door thinking I won't see. We didn’t wanna stay too long with this slight discomfort haha

Voortrekker monument is pretty much touristy with a hefty entrance so it was rather safe

Pretty comprehensive museum with a focus on the Gteat Trek inland by the original settlers

and before we leave... Springbok at last!

Left for Gold Reef City and it was a joy watching people scream

Welcomed by all them exotic animals

And the Chinese lol

Ms blur's face turned pale just looking at it

We had our fair share of fun too~ Impromptu arcade game - 88 tickets won and got us some chips lol

Got to see some farm animals...

And even brush them...

But this was the highlight: Ms Blur got to fulfil her Shetland pony wish! Really got everything she wants! Check out that derp face tho haha

Dinner cravings led us to a sleezy part of Joburg but we made it out alive. Checked in and decided to stay in the safe zone.

Day 18

Nice breakfast again, checked out, returned the car, and got stamps for our postcards!

And that ends yet another epic adventure, had the time of my life, with the love of my life. What more can I ask for...

Till next time, South Africa. Sharp sharp
