Arrived and was welcomed by the rain, as usual
Found this nice recommended Oden place (reminds me of Stockholm's Odenplan haha). Oden is these lok-lok alike thingy, and the boss was really friendly and helpful!
This is him being all busy BBQ-ing our food. Also started talking to this business guy with a female companion, weird people, made Ms Blur sweat profusely
Checked into our cozy hostel with the help of a very friendly girl, but the hostel didn't offer much privacy (no biggy). We were the only ones at first so it was peaceful, until two other guys came along, started slamming doors and drinking. Next morning after a horrible night, found their puke in the toilet room. Not cool bros.
Anyways, took a bus and went up a winding road (again), and then we reached Nihondaira! Super rainy as always
Got some tea cake and matcha from the tea hall after touring the small farm, and it was pretty legit
Left for a normal lunch at this place; check out Mount Fuji from the window. It's very obvious right! Haha
Went back down to Shizuoka city after buying super a lot of matcha products. Saw these and weren't very sure what they were
Ate the legendary 7-levels of matcha ice cream (ate the 4th and 7th level), photos are in her camera! I still think it was kind of an advertising gimmick though. Nonetheless, was quite shiok! Even for a non-matcha fanatic
First 回旋寿司 in Japan, pretty alright for the relatively steep price. Should have stayed clear of the main streets
