I've never been anti-Chinese immigrant and the competition they bring in, but this China trip really changes my perspective of their influence in the local culture.
From pushing elderly and young children in a bid to board a bus and the same for lifts; to impolite and hostile attitude towards tourists in a theater; to drivers in posh cars violating traffic rules just because they are filthy rich...
These really explains quite a fair bit of why they are much hated here back in Singapore. So many incidents that we have seen here are of these nature; we really want to embrace civilized competitions, not your barbaric and arrogant ways.
